Key Replacement and Entitlement Transfer

What to do when a key is exposed, plus the process and limits for transferring a paid entitlement.

Key replacement

If you suspect that your Key has been exposed, replace it immediately. This makes the original Key invalid and prevents someone else from continuing to use your paid entitlement.

If you can still sign in to the resource management page:

  1. Sign in to KeyAnchor and open the management page for the relevant resource.
  2. Find “更换 Key” (“Replace Key”) in the lower-right corner.
  3. Click the button and follow the instructions on the page.

After replacement, the original Key becomes invalid immediately and the new Key appears on the page. Copy and store the new Key at once, and do not expose it again.

Self-service replacement currently has no attempt limit. Replace the Key as soon as you discover an exposure instead of waiting for manual assistance.

Manual assistance

If you cannot sign in or the page cannot complete the replacement, contact the administrator through QQ at 2751268851. Prepare the following information for verification:

  • proof of purchase, such as an order ID or payment screenshot;
  • the contact channel bound to the Key, such as a QQ number or email address;
  • the name of the purchased resource.

After verifying and confirming the purchase information, the administrator will issue a new Key and revoke the original Key immediately. Manual processing may not be possible if the purchase relationship cannot be verified.

Each paid entitlement generally receives only one manual replacement service. Manual replacement is generally not provided again for losses caused by another exposure.

Transfer a paid entitlement

Whether a transfer is supported depends on the product page and the Terms of use. If transfers are allowed, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to KeyAnchor and open the management page for the relevant resource.
  2. Find “更换绑定渠道” (“Change binding channel”) in the lower-right corner.
  3. Follow the instructions to bind the new beneficiary.

After the transfer is completed, the original holder no longer has the following rights. See the Terms of use for details:

  • the right to use the paid entitlement;
  • paid-entitlement update notifications;
  • after-sales support for the paid entitlement;
  • the right to a refund.

If you are the new beneficiary, sign in to the management page after the transfer and replace the Key once so that you are the only person holding a valid Key.

Note: An entitlement transfer changes the beneficiary; it does not create a second authorization. Confirm the beneficiary’s contact information before submitting the transfer.
